Skip Sponsel

Prior to founding the company, Mr. Sponsel created and directed the business development group at Intel Capital. His programs selectively matched thousands of entrepreneurial innovations with Global 2000 requirements, leading to consistent wins for both buyers and seller.

Customers for these services to be provided across all technologies, which led Mr. Sponsel to found the company and develop Emerging Tech Accelerator’s patented search, collaboration, and decision tools.

Prior to Intel, Sponsel held senior sales and marketing positions with telecom equipment manufacturers – selling to both enterprise and service providers – and participating in an IPO. He built a regional sports cable network for the Minnesota Twins, and founded a sports promotion firm producing 50 events per year for Fortune 500 sponsors. He studied journalism and communications at the University of Minnesota and holds an MBA from George Fox University.

Steve Caldwell

Steve and Skip met at Intel in the course of coordinating their respective tech transfer programs. Steve was in vertical strategic marketing, focusing on telecoms, cable, and internet service providers. His programs delivered an immediate 20% growth in brand awareness with the targeted audience and went on to influence billions of dollars of annual revenue opportunity.

Prior to joining Intel Steve lead the marketing and sales efforts as Vice President of Marketing for a national internet service provider, helping the company grow by over 700% in three years. Following a successful liquidity event, Steve left for his adventure with Intel. Other experience includes being a Regional Manger for a CLEC telephone company, Division Manager for a technology distributor and Director of Sales for an educational software company.

Education includes study at Trinity College and a BA from the University of Puget Sound.

Rebecca Sponsel

Rebecca has worked as manager or consultant within numerous start-ups as well as Fortune 500 companies including IBM, Bell South, Black & Decker, 3M, Tennessee Valley Authority, and Schnitzer Steel. Her focus is on product and marketing design, and scalable staged introductions of high volume products and services. She has extensive experience creating and managing development of Call Center, Fulfillment, and Information Support Systems. Her strategic specialties are accelerated user adoption, tactical deployment, customer-centered design, and systems that increase revenue without increasing staff.

Rebecca holds a B.S. in Management from Concordia College, and MBA from George Fox University.

Neil Satterwhite

Neil leads a team of multi-lingual MBA-level relationship managers who attend to the needs of the emerging tech companies contained in ETsource™. Activities include review and enhancement of company profiles, and updating the catalog as new companies appear and older companies cycle off. In support of ETforums™, Neil’s team provides emerging tech company presenters with logistic coordination, advance briefing on customer needs and wants, and advance customer fact-finding. These and other advance planning activities assure that ETforum™ presenters can relate their solutions precisely to customer needs that are already recognized and quantified.

This team is also available for translation, adapting presentations, and developing proposals for companies entering the Asia market without benefit of a local sales relationship.

Casey Boggs

Over the past few years, Casey helped develop some of the industry’s largest public relations and advertising campaigns in the financial services, consumer and technology industries, including PR Week's 2004 Campaign of the Year, as well as the launch of Microsoft's Windows Vista™ in 2006. At CBC, Casey develops and implements strategic public relations efforts for a variety of clients and industries, including banks, credit unions, law firms and technology companies.

Casey managed a multitude of accounts for two of the world's largest public relations agencies, Waggener Edstrom and Weber Shandwick. Clients included Microsoft, JP Morgan, Bank of America, NVIDIA and Allstate. Casey also served as Director, Public Relations at AIG, leading the public relations efforts of six affiliated retirement services companies.
